goGOGOgo is a South African non-profit organisation dedicated to empowering female third-generation caregivers (gogos) as community change agents. The organisation enhances health outcomes and life opportunities for gogos and their grandchildren through research-driven interventions, training workshops, and income-generating projects.
Key initiatives include iGOGO, which has equipped over 400 gogos across five provinces with digital skills and internet access, and Income4GOGOs, which boosts household income through projects like sewing tote bags. Masifunde GOGO! promotes literacy and numeracy by involving gogos in their grandchildren’s education, while GOGObox encourages fitness and community engagement. GOGOcare focuses on health education, emphasising the first 1 000 days and early childhood development, empowering gogos to support new mothers.
