Call to Action: Advancing Maternal Nutrition in Africa

The 2nd Africa Maternal Nutrition and Multiple Micronutrient Supplementation (MMS) Technical Meeting held in Nairobi, Kenya, from 16–18 October 2024, issued a powerful call to action to improve maternal nutrition across the continent.

Bringing together leading experts, policymakers, and stakeholders, the meeting emphasised the critical role of MMS in reducing maternal and newborn mortality, improving health outcomes, and tackling nutrition-related challenges. The event also focused on scaling up MMS interventions through collaboration and evidence-based strategies.
